PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processor by which a manager's job is reduced by automatically registering and issuing a private box in a server main body and permitting a user to utilize the private box via a network. SOLUTION: An image server control part 2001 permits a storage device control part 2002 to retrieve and operate user directories and to obtain the directory having a user ID among vacant user IDs as a directory name in the storage device as the private box. Thus, assignment of the user ID and setting of a password are automatically executed so that the private box is automatically obtained. Besides, a mail address and a transfer destination address are stored for every user. Therefore, the private box is freely obtained by way of the network, image data are transferred and a hard-copy is also obtained.
