PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire antenna for AM/FM band reception capable of improving reception sensitivity without providing any an active element such as an amplifier near an antenna element and performing a reception with good sensitivity even if the electricity length of the antenna element is made shorter than 1/4 wavelength. SOLUTION: An FM band resonance element 2 consisting of a coil for FM band resonance 21 and a capacitor 22 and a transformer 3 converting the impedance of the reception signal of an AM band are connected in parallel to one end part 1a on the power feeding part side of an antenna element 1. Output means thereof are connected to each other to form an output terminal 4. Then, the terminal 4 is connected to an amplifier for amplifying the signal of the FM band or the AM band.
