PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch both an operating system(OS) for general personal computer and a program for peripheral equipment control in a short time. SOLUTION: A changeover switch part 11 is provided for an operator to instruct switching of memory banks. Just after a power source is turned on, just after reset or at the time of first calling, initial setting required for memory bank switching and initialization required for running a program are executed. On the basis of the state of the changeover switch part 11, a switching interruption generating circuit 12 generates a memory bank switching interruption event. A memory bank switching control program is called from a program under running at present by the generation of the memory bank switching interruption event from the switching interruption generating circuit 12 and control for memory bank switching is executed. A memory switching circuit 4 executes the switching of that memory bank according to the bank switching instruction of the memory bank switching control program.
