摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the calculation load and to male avoidable a peculiar phenomenon appearing on a liquid crystal panel by forming a gradation group of a required number of flashing on/off patterns discriminable from each other with a of limited number bits. SOLUTION: The display of the liquid crystal panel 1 is controlled by a display control circuit 4. The gradation pattern and bit length are written respectively in a gradation pattern memory 2 and a pattern length storage memory 3 from a CPU 6. The display control circuit 4 reads in the gradation data corresponding to pixels on a liquid crystal to be displayed at present from a frame buffer 5, and uses addresses corresponding to the read in gradation data, and reads out the pattern length for the pixel from the pattern length storage memory 3, and uses the address corresponding to the same gradation data, and reads out the gradation pattern existing in the gradation pattern memory 2 only by the some time ago read out pattern length. The on/off control of the pixel is performed by the gradation pattern of the read out pattern length in such a manner, and a halftone gradation display is realized.
