<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer which can be used as a calculator, telephone directory management and electronic dictionary and is convenient for carry or storage. SOLUTION: This computer is provided with a write end 16 to which a rotatable ball 15 is attached. Further, the computer is provided with a pen holder 10 to be grasped by a hand for moving the ball 15 on a write plane, first and second encode units 2 and 2' for generating X and Y axis driving signals by encoding the movement of the pen holder 10 in X and Y axis directions, and a character identifying device 331 electrically connected to the first and second encode units 2 and 2' for receiving the X and Y axis driving signals, identifying the X and Y axis driving signals, which are generated in the case of writing a character on the write plane, and generating a computer code corresponding to the identified character.</p> |
