PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set up a gap between batterys so that all the aligned batterys fall within an allowable temperature range if variations occur in its manufacturing errors or in its alignment. SOLUTION: In a battery pack comprising a plurality of aligned batterys with a gap left between them, the temperature of a battery (a specific battery) is measured having gap distances on its both sides minimized by manufacture errors or the like among the plurality of batterys while the gaps are successively changed with a desired amount of cooling air used. Consequently, the temperatures of the specific battery can be graphed as a curve with a minimum value relative to the changed gaps. When a battery pack is formed by aligning the plurality of batterys with the gap distance of the minimum value left between them, the maximum cooling effect can be obtained with the desired amount of cooling air used. By utilizing this result, the battery pack can be adapted to be compact with its batterys all falling within an allowable temperature range.
|
