PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new openable umbrella extension mechanism of a three- dimensional array type underwater prospecting buoy for drastically improving the reliability of openable umbrella extension by eliminating such problems as the interwining of a cable and a rope being generated in a conventional openable umbrella extension mechanism and the removal of a case. SOLUTION: By connecting receivers 1 by not only a cable but also a rod shaft 2 such as a metal body, the interwining or cutting of the cable is eliminated. Also, since the receivers 1 are connected by the metal body, the cable needs not be folded on storage and the need for a case for covering along with the receivers 1 is eliminated. Further, by forming the interval between the receivers 1 with metal, the interval can be made constant.
