PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new self-illuminating type doorplate unit which can easily be mounted to gate pasts or outer wall of an entrance, etc., without impairing characteristics of the design and outward appearances of them. SOLUTION: This doorplate unit comprises a doorplate body 1 with an EL sheet and a mounting arm body 2 provided with a door plate mount part 21 for mounting the doorplate 1 thereon, a lighting circuit part 22 for lighting the EL sheet of the doorplate body 1 and an electrode part 23 for electrically connecting the EL sheet to the lighting circuit part, and the doorplate body 1 is mounted on the doorplate mount part 21 so as to be positioned under the mounting arm body 2, and also the EL sheet is electrically connected with the electrode part 23, and the mounting arm body 2 is attached to a mount structure body 3 so as to extend in the horizontal direction of the structure.
