The accessory has a housing (1) with an elastic pull-out sun visor foil (2), to extend the original sun visor. The visor foil has apertures in the side, and is moved in and out by two toothed gears (5), which engage with their teeth into the apertures, and are moved by a turn grip (7) on a turning shaft (3). The foil is pressed against the toothed gears via two pressure rollers (6). The foil is continuously adjustable, and the whole unit is constructed so that view of the road is not impaired by the hand of the user when adjusting it.
