The cable has a line for the monitor, a line for the keyboard, and a line for a pointing device. All lines are combined in a common cable. At the end of the cable a connector is provided for connection to the computer. The other end of the cable has connectors for the remaining devices. A line may also be provided for an audio device, and combined with the other lines. The cable may be in the form of a SCART cable or similar. An Independent claim is included for the use of a SCART cable as a connecting cable between a computer and its operating devices.
