The circuit S provides that the making current of an electrical load EL is increased up to a nominal current when energizing said electrical load EL which is configured, for example, as an electrical unit BE. In addition, a limited current is initially fed to the electrical unit BE, whereby the nominal current is obtained more quickly afterwards. In a device having a power supply SV for a plurality of electrical units BE, for example, a unit support BT, the voltage dips caused by energizing are prevented from occurring on the electrical units BE that are already energized.
