The wheel body is metal or other inflexible material. The smooth hub (1), (i.e. initially with no teeth) and edge discs (3) (or flanges) are formed as a unit. The central bore (4) accepts a shaft or an expansive bush coupling. The hub outer diameter is the denticulation root diameter. A molding pattern (5), strongly resembling a section of the timing belt to be used, is obtained. Its denticulation corresponds in number (and spacing) with that required on the wheel. The pattern both starts and ends at a half-tooth. Gaps between teeth of the pattern are filled with duroplastic up to the height of the teeth. This material is self-hardening and adheres to the wheel body, but not to the pattern. The pattern is laid gently onto the hub, its length corresponding to the hub circumference. The half-teeth meet at the ends of the pattern, forming a complete tooth. The pattern is located by a clamp (8, 9) resembling a Jubilee clip. Following hardening, clamp and pattern are removed.
