The flat propulsion drive has a large number of micro jet propulsion units, each having a combustion space of about 2 cubic mm. for combustion of liquid oxygen (2) and hydrogen (1), incorporated in a surface of the vehicle provided by a number of different material layers (3,6,5,12), e.g. wolfram, titanium and aluminum oxide layers. The jet noise provided by operation of the drive lies in the ultrasonic frequency range or above, with micro jet propulsion units lying in different quadrants operated in dependence on the travel direction.
