The drive has one or more pairs of plates consisting of a drive plate (A) and one or more power wheels (B) arranged to overlap, to have the same direction of rotation and to be connected to a common time control device (E,F,G). Permanent magnets are mounted in the plate region to oppose each other in the overlap region depending on the time controller. The magnets are designed so that most of their effect causes rotation. The power output is varied by altering the axial or radial displacement of a pair of plates.
