The powder dusting device includes a dusting jet which is below the sheet brake (6) on the side facing away from the paper stack (8) of the plane in which the lower limiting surface (11) of the paper stack lies. The outlet aperture (19) of the jet is between the paper brake and the top (23) of the stack. Its blast jet is directed into the space between the top of the paper stack and the underside of the incoming sheet (4).
