The air-conditioning unit has a vaporizer (11) for cooling the air flow and up stream from which is a heat-exchanger (12) through which flows a heating medium for heating the air current. At least one air-mixer chamber (17) directly adjoins the air outlet side of the heat exchanger. The mixer chamber has a hot air inlet (19) covering at least part of the air outlet surface (122) of the heat exchanger, and has a cold air inlet forming the mouth of a cold air duct by-passing the heat exchanger. The apertures of the hot and cold air inlets are adjusted by controls (25). An air-deflector flap (32) swivels in two end positions and is situated on the air inlet side of the heat exchanger facing the vaporizer, on the inlet to the cold air duct.
