<p>A piezoelectric actuator, in particular, for actuating control valves or injection valves in motor vehicles, having an actuator body 10 formed in the manner of a multi-layer laminate of superimposed layers of piezoelectric material and metallic and/or electrically conductive layers, serving as electrodes lying there between, on the end surfaces of the actuator body a valve-side base plate 11 and an opposite head plate 12 are respectively disposed. The actuator body 10 comprises a piezo-inactive cover layer 13, 14 on each of its end surfaces, the connecting surfaces of the base plate 11 and of the head plate 12 connecting to the end surfaces of the actuator body 10 comprise fixing elements 16, 17, (Fig.2A, 18), engaging around the cover layers, at least for non-positive fixing of the cover layers 13, 14 of the actuator body 10.</p> |
