PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of asymmetric chain-carbonic ester is provided to do an ester exchange-reaction by adding amide compound of IA metal element as a catalyst to two kinds of symmetric chain-esters. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of asymmetric chain-carbonic ester is characterized in an ester exchange-reaction by adding amide salt catalysts of 0.01 to 20 wt.% in IA-family elements and two kinds of chain-carbonic esters into a continuous reaction period. More than two kinds of the chain-carbonic ester used for the present invention can be selected from among Dimethyl carbonate, Diethyl carbonate, Dipropyl carbonate, Dibutyl carbonate, etc. And the examples of the asymmetric chain-carbonic ester obtained from the chain-ester are ethyl methyl carbonate, Methyl propyl carbonate, Ethyl methyl carbonate, etc. The catalysts use amide salt of the IA-family elements properly by mixing one or two kinds of them and is symbolized by MNH2. M means alkali metal elements like Lithium or Sodium. Desirable temperature is between 50 and 200 degrees celsius and reaction pressure should be 0 to 20 mmHg. Proper reaction time is 0.5 to 5 hours.
