PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope having a channel capable of preventing the damage from a treatment tool and capable of applying a high-frequency treatment safely and effectively. SOLUTION: A treatment tool channel 9 is constituted of a resin tube 16 penetrating an insertion section 1 and a metal protective pipe 17 provided on the inner periphery of the tip section of the tube 16. Tip faces of the tube 16 and the protective pipe 17 coincide with each other, and the protective pipe 17 is inserted into the inner periphery of the tube 16. The tip faces of the tube 16, the protective pipe 17 and a tip section body 5 coincide with each other and are butted to the rear face of an insulating cover 6 so that the protective pipe 17 is kept in no contact with the tip section body 5.
