PURPOSE: A method of measuring multiple thermal properties with needle probes is provided to obtain a thermal diffusion coefficient by improving a needle probe method for the exact measurement of thermal properties in a short time and gaining coefficients of thermal conductivity and heat capacity. CONSTITUTION: A value is measured by a platinum resistance thermometer as each thermocouple is put in an ice-point together with an RTD(resistance temperature detector). Then, a thermostat(20) is heated at a desired temperature wherein the platinum resistance thermometer and the thermocouples are inserted into the thermostat(20). In a normal state, a measured value is obtained like at the ice-point. A calibration program is started to obtain internal heat resistance of a needle probe(30). Finally, a coefficient of thermal conductivity is gained by starting an akkkk.pas program and inputting characteristics of the needle probe(30) and a time-temperature response data name.
