PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording sheet of various type performances stabilized in sensing performance of the sheet and incorporated capable of further reducing a space in the case of installing a sensor in a printer without evidence of a mark to be sensed for without obstruction to eyes. SOLUTION: In the recording sheet 1 comprising a layer 3 containing a near infrared absorption material having a maximum absorption in an arbitrary wavelength of 700 to 1,200 nm on part or non-continuously or overall surface of at least one side surface of a base material 2, a reflectivity of the arbitrary wavelength is 0<=A<=0.8, wherein A = reflectivity of the layer/reflectivity of the base material on the base material. Thus, the layer 3 is sensed by a reflection type sensor having a light emitting element and a light receiving element, and recording is started. Accordingly, sensing performance of the sheet is stabilized, there is no evidence to be an obstruction to eyes at the mark. Further, a space in the case of installing the sensor in the printer can be reduced, and various type performances can be incorporated in the sheet. |
