PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent work failure due to over-discharge of a battery pack and a battery voltage drop. SOLUTION: This battery powered tool 1 comprises a comparing means 14 for turning off a switching element 13 to stop a motor 2 when the comparing voltage Vc corresponding to the battery voltage V1 of a battery pack 9 becomes smaller than the reference voltage Vr. In the tool, the comparing voltage Vc is kept from being smaller at the starting or the reference voltage Vr is gradually increased from the start.
