PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring for an umbrella, safe, without fear of damaging hands and fingers or clothes when opening, closing and repairing an umbrella, easy to assemble, and without projecting of a torsional fastening part due to a long-time use. SOLUTION: In case of a lower ring 1, a notch is formed in an arbitrary upper flange piece 12 so as to accommodate and hold a torsional fastening part 21 of an end of a binding wire 2 bent upward. And immediately above the upper flange piece 12, a hook-like projecting piece 15 for fitting the torsion- fastening part 21 of the binding wire 2 is provided in a form separated from the upper flange piece.
