PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of registration and productivity by forming a notch on a direct drawing waterless lithographic printing plate original plate, setting the original plate on a plate-making machine in which the notch is used as a reference and then emitting laser beams and forming an image. SOLUTION: A processing of forming a reference when a printing plate is to be set on a plate cylinder of a printer is applied on a direct drawing type waterless lithographic printing plate original plate 1. A notch 3 is formed on one side as a processing applied to the printing plate original plate 1. Protrusions 2 to be fitted with the notch 3 are formed on a cylinder of a plate- making machine and the plate cylinder of the printer. The protrusion 2 of the cylinder of the plate-making machine and the notch 3 are set together, and laser beams are emitted and exposed to form an image and manufacture the printing plate. The notch 3 on the printing plate and the protrusion 2 formed on the plate cylinder of the printer are registered and set together and printing is carried out. The registering accuracy in printing is improved and the printing productivity can also be improved by the arrangement.
