PURPOSE: A method for node wake-up in a bus system is provided for every node to automatically perform a function of a repeater by sensing that a user turns on only equipment to be used, if many nodes are connected to the bus system. CONSTITUTION: A method for node wake-up in a bus system having self power nodes, comprises the steps of: setting the self power nodes to be supplied power from a cable; retrieving whether the cable is plugged-in to the power self nodes; if so, getting wake-up of PHY according to power supplied through the plugged-in cable; retrieving whether the PHY itself is a destination node after wake-up of the PHY; if not, performing a repeater function, and if so, outputting a bus reset signal by turning on system power of the PHY itself.
