PURPOSE: A measuring apparatus of a peripheral of a panel for a cathode ray tube is to exactly guide the panel to a measuring position and to prevent a damage of the panel and a measuring member. CONSTITUTION: A measuring apparatus of a peripheral of a panel(16) for a cathode ray tube comprises a plurality of measuring members is approached to or apart from a surface of a skirt portion(32) along an around of the skirt, at least one guiding member(35) which is disposed on a table to position a panel to be measured at a place of the table, and a lifting member for lifting up and down the guiding member. The lifting member is comprised of an axial line rod(36) which is extended downward from a lower face of the guiding member, an axial line cylinder(40) for linearly moving the axial line rod in the axial direction, and a connecting member(38) which is interposed between the axial line rod and the axial line cylinder for integrally connect each axial line rod.
