PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rolled steel less in defects caused by inclusions and suitable for automotive steel sheets, steel sheets for deep-drawn cans, steel tubes or the like. SOLUTION: This is the rolled steel having a fundamental compsn. contg., by weight, 0.0002 to 0.7% C, 0.001 to 0.5% Si, 0.005 to 2.0% Mn, 0.001 to 0.05% P, 0.0005 to 0.15% S, 0.001 to 0.25% Ti and 0.001 to 0.1% dissolved Al, in which produced oxide inclusions are composed of a crystalloid phase essentially consisting of Ti oxide and a crystalloid phase essentially consisting of alumina, and the crystalloid phases are present in the steel.
