PURPOSE: A foam removing method for laundry machine having a drum is provided to achieve an improved foam removing performance by performing an additional rinsing operation when an excessive amount of foam is produced. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of draining contaminated laundry wastewater from a washer tub after completion of washing and rinsing operations, a second step of intermittently driving a motor of the laundry machine for drying after completion of the first step, a third step of sensing the water level which changes in accordance with an amount of foam prior to a normal drying operation after completion of the second step, a fourth step of judging whether an excessive amount of foam is produced by comparing the water level data obtained in the third step with a preset reference water level data, and a fifth step of removing the foam in the tub by performing an additional rinsing operation if it is judged that an excessive amount of foam is produced in the fourth step. |
