PURPOSE: A vibration absorber of a machine chamber of a refrigerator is provided to attenuate vibration and noise of a refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: Noise and vibration occurs due to the operation of a compressor(51) and a cooling fan(72). A portion of the vibration of the compressor is firstly absorbed in a first sound damping rubber(59) installed between a compressor support plate(53) and a base frame(55). The remnant vibration is transmitted to the base frame. The vibration transmitted to the base frame is secondly absorbed in a second sound damping rubber(65) installed between the base frame and a machine chamber support plate(61). Thereby, the vibration of the compressor is not transmitted to a refrigerator body(50), and further, the occurrence of noise is avoided.
