PURPOSE: A cellular phone attaching a character recognizer is provided to input/store information on commodities, and to buy the commodities, by scanning numbers below a bar-code of a commodity through attaching the character recognizer. CONSTITUTION: A cellular phone attaching a character recognizer comprises the processes as follows. The character recognizer and a character recognition button are added on one side of a cellular phone. A user presses the character recognition button scanning numbers below a bar-code of a desired commodity by the character recognizer. A character reader(301) is composed of a sensor or scanner and an analog/digital(A/D) convertor. If the user scans the desired commodity by the character reader(301), the digital video information is transmitted to a S-RAM(314), recognized as characters in a character recognition program built-in an electrical erasable programmable ROM(EEPROM)(313), and made e-commerce. The user inputs and calls information on telephone numbers via the character reader(301).
