PURPOSE: A method for preparing porous metals using water-soluble molten salts is provided to obtain multi-functional porous metals having good mechanical properties, thermal properties, acoustic properties and energy absorbing property with low costs and high speed. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing porous metals according to the present invention comprises the steps: a) processing water-soluble molten salts to prepare salt particles(S1); b) introducing molten metals into a space between the packed salt particles by means of molten metal introducing means to infiltrate and solidify the molten metals(S2); and c) dissolving the salt particles stuck in the metals(S3).
