A piston (6) cooperating with a container (5) is pressed tight against the sample inside the container both during and after sample cooling. A sample is introduced via a pipe (2) with at least one valve (3), connected to the container at a height at least level with the top side of the piston when the latter is at the container base (8). The sample is removed via a pipe (14) connected to the top end (9) of the container, a branch pipe (17) provided with or connected to a preferably three-way valve (15) is used to divert a sample into a collection vessel (21). A cooling device (18) is provided for the container contents, designed to cool them before they are removed via the up and down movement of the piston. |
