PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food produced by using Koto-sugi (a tree of the family Taxaceae, native to Yunnan Province, China, or the like) as a main raw material and incorporated with Kouka (flower of Carthamus tinctorium), or the like, known as a Chinese herb drug effective for gynecological diseases. SOLUTION: The trunk of Koto-sugi powdered to 20-60 μm diameter is mixed with dried powder of Kouka, Keishi (twig of Cinnamomum cassia), Kankyou (rhizome of Zingiber officinale), Taisou (fruit of Zizyphus jujuba), Shouikyou (fruit of Foeniculum vulgare) and Sanshishi (fruit of Gardenia jasminoides). As an alternative, the trunk of Koto-sugi is powdered to 20-60 μm diameter in a vacuum of 60-220 kg/cm2, mixed with dried powder of Kouka, Keishi, Kankyou, Taisou, Shouikyou and Sanshishi and the mixture is dried, packed in a paper bag at a water content of 5% and shipped. As another alternative, the trunk of Koto-sugi is powdered to 20-60 μm diameter in a vacuum of 60-220 kg/cm2, separately dried powder of Kouka, Keishi, Knakyou, Taisou, Shouikyou and Sanshishi is boiled in water to obtain a concentrated liquid, the liquid is added to the Koto-sugi powder and the mixture is powdered by dry-free process and tableted in the presence of an excipient. |
