PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for economically manufacturing wood chip coal carrying a condensed phosphoric acid which is a kind of chelated phosphoric acid as phosphoric acid, a basic fertilizer for field crops, which enables effective exploitation of pruned branches of fruit trees and street trees, dead pine trees damaged by pine weevils or the like, and to provide wood chip coal manufactured by the method. SOLUTION: This wood chip coal is manufactured by subjecting pruned branches of fruit trees and street trees, dead pine trees damaged by pine weevils or the like to cutting treatment into coarse blocks, firing these coarse blocks in the presence of sufficiently supplied oxygen, quenching the resultant red-hot wood chips and incorporating a condensed phosphoric acid which is a kind of chelated phosphoric acid as phosphoric acid, a basic fertilizer for field crops. The fertilizer contains said wood chip coal. |
