摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject biodegradable microparticles radially differing in compositions, useful in sustained release medicaments, and/or the like, by culturing microorganisms capable of synthesizing the microparticles in a medium containing the corresponding raw materials through varying the concentrations and/or composition of the raw materials as nutrients. SOLUTION: The high-molecular compound microparticles differing in compositions radially 103, 105 are obtained by the following process: microorganisms capable of synthesizing the objective microparticles in situ are cultured in a medium containing the corresponding raw material compounds as nutrients through varying the concentrations and/or compositions of the raw materials as nutrients, and then the high-molecular compound microparticles produced in the cells of the microorganisms are contacted with the microorganisms and a solubilizing agent for the biological components other than the high-molecular compound to remove the above biological components from the microorganisms, and the high-molecular compound is subsequently dried at a temperature not higher than its melting point.
