PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To activate spores of a mold to proliferate the spores of mold useful as biological agrochemicals giving less environmental loads compared with chemically synthesized agrochemicals by maintaining the spores of dormant mold in specific rages of temperature and time. SOLUTION: Spores of mold, useful as biological agrochemicals using microorganisms giving less environmental lords compared with chemically synthesized agrochemicals, is activated by holding the spores of dormant mold [e.g. Talaromyces flavus Y-9401 strain (FERM P-15816)] in a dry heater at a temperature range of 70-80 deg.C for 5-60 minutes. The mold is handled in the state of dry spores in preserving and transporting them. They are used by germinating dried spores when they are used, but many of them do not germinate in the dormant state even under germinating conditions, the dormant spores are used by activating to germinate and increasing the effective number of mold cells before using them. |
