PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent strong contact of a coil spring with a groove hole of a main gear to obtain a regular spring load. SOLUTION: This scissors gear 6 comprises a main gear 7, a sub gear 8 overlapping a overlapped face of the main gear 7, a groove hole 9 bored in the overlapped face of the main gear 7, and a coil spring 11 housed in the groove hole 9 and circumferentially displacing the sub gear 8. A nearly central part 9b of the bottom face of the groove hole 9 is formed in a deep curved shape, while a winding center axis 11b of the coil spring 11 is offset toward the main gear 7 relatively to the overlapping face between the main gear 7 and the sub gear 8. Because contact of the nearly central part 9b of the bottom face of the groove hole 9 with a belly part 11a of the coil spring 11 is avoided, an attitude of the coil spring 11 does not unexpectedly vary even if the sub gear 8 id displaced relatively to the main gear 7. Accordingly, a regular spring load can be obtained.
