PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying a highly corrosive granular polycarbonate resin containing water and a halogenated hydrocarbon, efficiently and stably giving the polycarbonate resin having a high quality. SOLUTION: This method for drying a polycarbonate resin comprises drying the polycarbonate resin by the use of a rotary multitublar drier. Therein, a metal material comprising Mo: 11.5-18.0%, Cr: 13.5-23.5%, Fe: 1.0-8.0%, W: 1.5-5.5%; Ni: the remainder as metal components or a lining material comprising the metal material is used for portions to be brought into contact with a halogenated hydrocarbon or its decomposition products.
