PURPOSE: A physical training device is provided to achieve convenience in installation and use while arranging a brake function in a brake ring system instead of belt system, and prevent injury to user's finger while arranging a cover plate over joint portions. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a first joint (10) elliptically moving by a footstep(11), a second joint(20) attached to an end of the first joint and which functions as a hinge centering a second axis(22), the second joint having at a top portion thereof a handle(24), a third joint(30) of which lower end is fixed to a center of the first joint and which is cam-operated rotating as being attached to a crankshaft(36), a fourth joint(40) having an end attached to a top of the third joint, a first axis(21) fixing the other end of the fourth joint and which is installed in the vicinity of the second axis, and a cam rotation wheel(34) supporting the first and second axes and which supplies an inertial force for a rotation of a cam disk(32), wherein the device further comprises a brake ring(60) fitted to a camshaft(35) of the cam rotation wheel and which has a slit for varying diameter in lengthwise direction and at an outer periphery thereof a positioning groove, and a rotation lever(50) for pressing the positioning groove or releasing the pressing. A cover plate is formed integrally with the fourth joint so as to cover a gap between the fourth joint and the third joint, and the handle is S-shaped for allowing the user to select quantity of motion.
