PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a fiber molding body easily and quickly at small man-hours by a method wherein a turn-up part is formed at at least some part of the side peripheral surface of a main part so as to form a gap part between the back surface of the main part and the turn-up part nearly parallel to its back surface by blowing a fibrous material and a binder in a mold under heat and pressure. SOLUTION: After a fibrous material and a binder under being mixed together is blown in cavities 5 and 6, a blowing port 7 is closed by actuating a shutter 8 provided at the blowing port. After that, by sliding a first movable mold 2 and a second movable mold 3 to the directions indicated with the arrows, the fibrous material mixed with the binder is compressed. The volumes of cavities 5 and 6 under the compressed state become the volume of a fibrous molded body. Next, by feeding hot air in the cavities 5 and 6 under the state that respective molds 1-3 are heated, the binder is melted, resulting in binding fibrous materials together. |
