PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for guiding travel path for the blind are provided to allow the blind to reach the destination with ease and safety while supplying a guide for travel path, condition of the path, obstacles, and character stream for look of people and road signs. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an image input unit constituted by a camera set(1) having a plurality of micro cameras(2) for receiving image, an information extraction unit for analyzing image inputted from the image input unit and extracting information for a travel path and obstacles, a position measuring and outputting unit for measuring global position through a global position system and outputting an integrated travel guide message, and a wear-type computer(3) for recognizing character stream for look of people and road signs and informing the blind of the integrated travel path guide in a voice signal through an ear phone.
