PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a heat-sensitive recording material for reducing the wear and foul of a recording head when an image is recorded and provide a heat-sensitive recording method using the heat-sensitive recording material. SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive recording material 10 is provided with at least a heat-sensitive recording layer 12 and a protective layer 13 formed on a substrate 11, and the protective layer 13 contains a a silane modified polymer. Preferably the protective layer 13 of the heat-sensitive recording material 10 contains colloidal silica. A heat-sensitive recording method is used for recording by using the heat-sensitive recording material 10 and utilizing 80 mJ/mm2 or more recording energy. |
