PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form an image without variation for a long time. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a particle developer ejecting type image forming apparatus wherein a pulse 46 is applied to an individual electrode 40 from a controller 44 so that a developer 16 carried on a developer carrier body 12 is urged toward a rear face electrode 26, then the developer held by the developer carrier body 12 is ejected through a via-hole 38 of a partition wall 32 to be adhered to a recording medium 34 provided between the partition wall 32 and rear face electrode 26. A spacer 50 is provided to an upstream side of the individual electrode 40 in the conveying direction 18 of the developer by being contacted with the developer carrier body 12. The developer 16 is made from a non-magnetic material. A magnetic field generating means 24 is provided at the opposite side of the spacer 50 with the developer carrier body 12 therebetween and a magnetic member 52 is provided to a region which is a surface or an inner section of the partition wall 32 and at a portion at least in the vicinity of the magnetic field generating means 24.
