PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-cooled air compressor capable of continuously sending the clean compressed air to an user side, preventing the contamination by metallic salt in the lubricant, and keeping the superior lubricant separating and recovering performance in an oil separating and recovering device. SOLUTION: This air compressor 1 sucks air in a suction passage 12 passed through a suction filter 11, into a compressor body 14 through an intake control valve 13, compresses the air while receiving the lubricant, delivers the compressed air with the lubricant to a delivery passage 16 from the compressor body 14, separates the compressed air from the lubricant by an oil separating and recovering unit disposed on the discharge passage 16 and sends, the compressed air after the separation from the oil separating and recovering unit 18, and repeatedly uses the recovered lubricant by recirculating it. On this occasion, an acidic gas removing layer made of an acidic gas adsorbing member and capable of passing the air flowing into the suction passage 12 therethrough, is mounted at a primary side of the intake control valve 13.
