OIL ABSORBING MEMBER FOR COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automize the mounting of an oil absorbing member in a housing with high accuracy for absorbing the oil leaked from a compressor. SOLUTION: A shaft part 21 outwardly projects from a housing 2 of a compressor 1, and one end of a driving shaft 7 inserted into a crank chamber 6 is disposed inside of the shaft part 21. A seal member 14 for sealing the driving shaft 7 is mounted on an inner peripheral surface of the shaft part 21, and an oil absorbing member 15 for absorbing the leaked lubricant is disposed on the outside in the axial direction, of the seal member 14. The oil absorbing member 15 is made of glass fiber having the oil absorbability, the shape retainability, and heat resistivity.
