PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling of an operating switch for an electric shutter apparatus and to reduce manufacturing costs of the same. SOLUTION: A switch unit 1 is constructed by assembling a body 1A formed of a synthetic resin molding having insulation performance and a cover 1B formed of a synthetic resin molding having insulation performance, and attached to the body 1A. The cover 1B has engaging pieces 13, 13 integrally formed therewith so as to downward protrude from both the edge surfaces thereof. The engaging pieces 13, 13 have engaging holes 12, 12, respectively, with which engaging lugs 11, 11 protruding from both the edge surfaces of the body 1A engage, respectively. The engaging piece 13 is moved on the engaging lug 11 with its lower edge being guided along a slant surface 11a formed on the upper edge of the engaging lug 11, and the cover 1B is pressed onto the body 1A. Thus, the engaging lug 11 is engaged with the engaging hole 12 of the engaging piece 13, whereby the cover 1B is combined with and fixed to the body 1A. That is, the body 1A and the cover 1B can be assembled through one-touch operation, which leads to extremely easy assemblage compared with conventional assemblage using an assembling frame.
