USE OF COMB TYPE POLYMER AS SOIL-RELEASING POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soil-releasing polymer which comprises a comb type polymer obtained by condensing a polycarboxylic acid or the like, a polyalcohol or the like, (a sulfonated dicarboxylic acid) and an amino compound, or the like and is useful for detergents or cleaners. SOLUTION: This soil-releasing polymer comprises a comb type polymer which is obtained by condensing (A) a polycarboxylic acid or a polyalcohol, (B) at least one polyalcohol having two to four OH groups and, if necessary, substituted by a sulfo group or a polyglycol of the formula: HO-(XO)a-H [X is C2H4 and/or C3H7; (a) is 2-35], (C) if necessary, one or more sulfonated, 2-10C dicarboxylic acids and (D) at least one of compounds of the formulas: NH2R, NHR2, ROH, R1COOH, HO(XO)bH and HO(CH2CH2)dSO3K [R is a 1-22C alkyl or the like; R1 is a 1-22C sulfoalkyl or the like; (b) is 3-40; (d) is 1-10; K is a cation].
