PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the sealing performance of a liquid gasket without increasing the manufacturing manhour. SOLUTION: A plate gasket 23 is sandwiched between a plurality of components with its edge deviated so that parts of the joint faces of a plurality of mutually-joined components (a cylinder block 1 plus a cylinder head 4 and a chain cover 22 plus a sprocket casing part 20 of the cylinder head) are directly opposed to each other and a liquid gasket 29 is filled between a clearance G formed between the directly opposed parts of the plurality of the components and the deviated edge (internal circumferential edge of a chain receiver hole 27) of the plate gasket. This constitution can regulate the film thickness of the liquid gasket by the thickness of the plate gasket so as to dispense with formation of a recess part for accumulating the liquid gasket by machining and prevent the manufacturing manhour from increasing.
