PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the drying time while restraining enlargement of a machine body and increase in a heat source cost in a drum type clothing drier using warm water or a heat medium and an electric heater as a heat source by controllably constituting the air quantity blown into a drum through the heat source. SOLUTION: When turning on an operation switch, a drum 11 rotates by a motor 12, warm water circulates in a heat exchanger 15, and an air blowing fan 14 rotates so that hot air heated by the heat exchanger 15 is blown into the drum 11. Afterwards, high humidity exhaust air by evaporating moisture of clothing in the drum 11 is exhausted outside a machine body through an exhaust port 17. At this time, a control circuit 18 intermittently switches a rotating speed (air quantity) of an air blowing fan 14 rotating by the motor 12 to a high speed or a low speed to dry clothing gathered by being pressed down in the inmost direction of the drum 11 by wind pressure at high speed rotating time while unraveling the clothing at low speed rotating time. A drying degree of the clothing is detected by an exhaust temperature detecting sensor 19.
