PURPOSE: A DC motor controller is provided to maintain normal speed of a DC motor without a taco meter generator or a speed detector. CONSTITUTION: A DC motor controller a zero crossing detector(200) detects zero crossing due to the operation of a DC motor(M). A motor speed comparator detects and outputs the variably controlled motor speed at DC motor(M) operation section during specific period due to the detection of zero crossing. An external control input section(400) inputs rotation direction, speed control and push command according to the operation of the DC motor(M). A DC motor driver(600) with a thyristor for driving a motor drives the DC motor(M). A controller(500) controls the current motor speed to follow the pre-set speed of the DC motor(M) by discriminating the current motor speed according to the signals from the motor speed comparator.
